Preschool Screening
Riverside School District 96 offers ongoing preschool screenings, throughout the school year,
for children ages three to five years of age, who are residents of District 96. The developmental screenings assess the areas of communication, motor, cognitive, and social-emotional skills to determine if a child has developmental delays and may benefit from special education services prior to kindergarten.
If you have concerns about your child’s development, you may complete our Preschool Screening Stage 1 Form to begin the preschool screening process. We will request your contact information and send you a packet of information, which you will complete and return to the district office. Included in the packet are Parent Information Sheets, Ages and Stages Developmental Questionnaires, and a speech and language checklist. To begin the preschool screening process, please complete the form linked below.
Children must be at least 33 months old to participate in the preschool screening process.

Evaluación Preescolar
El Distrito Escolar 96 de Riverside ofrece evaluaciones preescolares continuas, durante todo el año escolar, para niños de tres a cinco años de edad, que son residentes del Distrito 96. Las evaluaciones de desarrollo evalúan las áreas de comunicación, motricidad, habilidades cognitivas y socioemocionales para determinar si un niño tiene retrasos en el desarrollo y puede beneficiarse de servicios de educación especial antes del kindergarten.
Su hijo debe tener 33 meses para iniciar el proceso de evaluación preescolar.
